Granite Countertop Care

Stone is one of the easiest surfaces to maintain. You will find your Granite tiles and backsplash easy to care for. On a daily basis, the best method is just to wipe down the surfaces with a soft cloth that has been wetted with soapy water. You may wish to brighten the tile by polishing it occasionally or using a cleaning rejuvenating product designed for granite surfaces.

Unlike marble, granite is a relatively hard, non-porous, natural stone. It is relatively unaffected by most chemicals.
Easy steps to maintain your Granite tiles :
Blot up spills immediately to prevent damage to your stone.
Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap or mild dishwashing liquid and warm water.
Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the granite. Rinse after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
Try a mixture of 12 percent hydrogen peroxide mixed with a couple drops of ammonia for an organic stain (e.g. coffee, tea, and fruit).
Do not place hot items directly on the stone surface. Use trivets or mats under hot dishes and placemats under china, ceramics, silver or other objects.
Reseal the countertop every year or two years. Contact us for recommendations.
Consider using a new disinfectant cleaner made specifically for granite.
